Can DensGlass gold be painted?
DensGlass Sheathing is an ideal product for exterior ceilings and soffits for both cold and warm climate zones. It resists sagging, even under exceptionally humid conditions. Panels are applied directly to structural framing. Surface and joints may be finished and painted, or surfaced with an exterior finish system.
Is DensGlass 1 hour fire rated?

Is DensGlass waterproof?
It is a ready-mixed, flexible, waterproof coating which can be used on gypsum, cement or wood based sheathing substrates. Sto VaporSeal over DensGlass panels can be used on vertical above grade walls.
Can DensGlass be left exposed?
DensGlass® Sheathing is an engineered exterior gypsum sheathing. It has a specially treated gypsum core and embedded fiberglass mats on both sides for superior moisture, fire and mold resistance. This product can remain exposed for up to twelve months and is an ideal substrate for a wide variety of exterior claddings.
How thick is a fire separation wall?
Fire rated sheetrock is installed with the goal of creating a fire separation – a typical requirement design for specific locations in many building codes. Type X fire rated gypsum drywall is 5/8 -inch thick and installed on each side of a wood framed wall to create the fire separation.
Is DensGlass sheathing waterproof?
Can you use DensGlass on roof?
DensGlass Sheathing is appropriate for finishing the rest of the vertical surface above the membrane, but DensDeck Roof Board could also be used, so there’s only one substrate material to deal with.
Can you screw into a fire rated wall?
To provide the needed fire separation, the wall must be able to withstand this impact. For a one-hour fire-resistance rating, a wall must be subjected to a stream of water at 30 psi pressure for one minute. Screws used in wood or steel framed walls must meet the requirements of either ASTM C1002 or ASTM C954.
