What technical schools are in the Air Force?
The majority of training is conducted at one of four primary Air Force Tech School locations in the United States:
- Goodfellow Air Force Base (San Angelo, Texas)
- Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Air Force Base (San Antonio, Texas)
- Keesler Air Force Base (Biloxi, Mississippi)
- Sheppard Air Force Base (Wichita Falls, Texas)
Does everyone in the Air Force go to tech school?

Is tech school like BMT?

Is Air Force tech school like college?
Tech School is a bit different as the environment is focused more on learning the ins and outs and nuisances of your given role. While there is a little more freedom at Tech School with weekends off and off base privileges, it is still an environment to help train and mold you to be the best Airman you can be.
Can you get married during Air Force tech school?
AF doesn’t say you can’t get married in Tech School. When I went through tech, there were quite a few JOP weddings in my training flight. If that’s what you’re planning, it is definitely do-able, as long as he is in the proper phase of his training to allow him to go off base.
Where do airmen live during Tech School?
Dorms
Tech School generally consists of a full day of courses with evening study time. Airmen live in Dorms similar to college dormitories. Most if not all weekends are rest days for airmen.
