The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) allows eligible applicants to receive up to $5,000 per year to help defray childcare provider costs. Awards are available to eligible faculty, postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and campus staff with dependent children ages 10 and under.
What is a CCAP worker?

Can a family member get paid for childcare Colorado?
If your family has income and you’re eligible for CCCAP, you may be responsible for paying a portion of your child care costs to your child care provider each month. The amount paid is based on your gross income, the number of people in your household, and the number of children in care.
How do I become a CCAP provider in Colorado?
As a provider:
- You must have a valid Colorado child care license number and be in compliance with the rules and regulations.
- You must provide your published private-pay rate, the rates you charge non-CCCAP clients, the sheet from your parent handbook when you apply and every time you renew your Fiscal Agreement.

How long does it take to get approved for child care assistance?
It takes approximately 10 business days from the date we receive a COMPLETE child care application for the application to be processed. Once the application is processed, the client and provider will be notified with either an approval, a denial, or a request for additional information.
