What is the difference between a RipStik and a caster board?
ripstik, both are the same thing. The ripstik is made up of two separate platforms interconnected by a torsion bar that houses a robust spring. One of the principal difference is the dimensions; the caster board is the bigger of the two cousins; it is 34” long, 9” wide and 4.5” tall.
Is it easier to ride a RipStik or skateboard?
A skateboard is relatively easy to learn to ride around on. The RipStik takes a little getting used to, as mastering the swivel motion which provides your propulsion will take longer than simply learning to stand on a skateboard in a proper stance and push off at a controllable pace.

The ripstik is hard to learn because of balance and getting the steps in the right order. After a while, it will become natural. How do I move a ripstick forward? More your feet to the left and right repeatedly, in a sort of wiggling motion.

Classic ripstiks are cool and all, but these changes really do make doing tricks easier. I found that I had good foot control and increased foot control means better tricks. And this board is a super smooth ride over various terrains like the sidewalk, gravel or on the pavement.
