What is flexor surface?
By contrast, the flexor surface is the skin on the side of a joint that folds. Directed by a flexor muscle, the flexor surface can be described as areas where folded skin can touch, such as the inside of the elbow or the back of the knee.

There are six long flexor muscles of the hand:

Flexor tendons run from the forearm to the ends of the fingers across the palm side of the hand. They control the ability to bend fingers down to the palm (for example to make a fist, grip, or pinch objects). When these tendons are cut or injured, it can be impossible to bend the fingers or thumb.
