Governments of several states, including New York, Indiana, Iowa, and South Carolina, have provided funding to PLTW to support future development. The Kern Family Foundation of Wisconsin provides financial support for the program in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota.

Partnering with PLTW PLTW students are better prepared for post-secondary studies and more likely to consider careers in critical STEM fields than their non-PLTW peers, research has shown. Students also benefit from taking the PLTW End-of-Course Assessments.
