What does not monitored mean on TripIt?
Flight monitoring is a feature of our TripIt Pro premium service. Basic TripIt accounts are not monitored for schedule changes or flight updates (if your airline notifies you about an update to your itinerary, you just need to forward the schedule update to [email protected]).
What does pull in mean for flight?
Pulled-in: When a delay alert was initially sent but your flight is now departing earlier than the delayed time alert or closer to the original departure time.
Why is tripit not working?
In most cases, a manual refresh of your app, after you have signed in, will update your trip data. If refreshing doesn’t do the trick, and you haven’t done so already, please make sure your app has been upgraded to our latest version. (If the problem remains after upgrading try a complete uninstall and reinstall.)
Why do flights leave at the same time?
Airlines use a system called hub banking, which clusters flight around similar times. The idea is that passengers spend less time waiting around for connections. An average day has 10 or so ‘banked’ times, in which several flights all leave within minutes of each other.

Are flight times gate to gate?
On departures, the gate time is the time at which the plane pulls back from the gate. The runway time for departures is the time at which it takes off and includes the time it takes for the plane make its way from the gate through the queue of planes waiting to take off.
How do airlines decide flight times?
Airlines use a complex matrix called ‘Airline Scheduled Planning’ to fix flight timings. They use a software and feed in the historical data for a flight’s departure, arrival and block time for each specific route on a specific day. The software analyses this data and suggests a schedule for that flight.
