What color are headlight wires?
Re: Headlights with different wire colors! The OEM light (upper pic) is wired, Blue is ground, (on left) Light Blue (LB) is Low Beam (LB!), in the center position, and Yellow is High Beam, on the right side.
Which wire are which on a headlight?
Headlights on newer and older vehicles connect to the electrical system through the socket. The sockets will vary by manufacturer, but all follow the same principle. One wire is the ground, one wire is the low-beam power, and a third wire is the high beam.
What Colour is 8000K?
Ice Blue
Converting HID color temperature (Kelvins) to Lumens (lm)
| Temp | Color | Lumens * |
|---|---|---|
| 4300K | Yellow-White | ~3,200 lm |
| 5000K | Bright White | ~3,000 lm |
| 6000K | Alpine White | ~2,800 lm |
| 8000K | Ice Blue | ~2,300 lm |
Are all headlight sockets the same?
For example, bulbs such as H1, H4 & H7 are all universal fittings. No matter what manufacturer or where you buy them from, they will fit, as long as you buy the correct fitting for your vehicle.
Where is the headlight ground wire?
The ground circuit provides a path for the electricity from the headlight to return to the negative terminal of the vehicle battery. The ground wire is normally a short wire attached to the vehicle chassis near the headlight. The vehicle chassis itself provides the remainder of the return path to the vehicle battery.
Is 4300K brighter than 6000K?
4300K and 6000K will be just as bright but will have a very light tint of yellow (4300K) or blue (6000K). Most people shopping for HIDs believe that a higher bulb temperature will yield a brighter light but this is in fact not true. So, the higher the power the brighter the light emitted from the bulbs will be.
Which is brighter 6000K or 8000K?
The higher you go in the Kelvin Rating, you get more color in the light in exchange for visibility. So 6000k will be just slightly brighter than 8000k and 8000k will be slightly brighter than 10000k and so on but they will have more and more color to them.
