I would recommend the light one since its taste is closer with Golden Syrup. Basically, light corn syrup can perfectly replace Golden Syrup in every recipe. There is only slight difference that the corn one has a very mild flavor, while light treacle is uniquely light and buttery. My second choice goes for Honey .
