Is newport skatepark open?
The skatepark is open between 9.00am-9.00pm. Tredegar Park’s opening times vary and gates close at dusk. When gates are closed vehicles cannot enter or leave the park although the skatepark can be entered on foot until 9.00pm.
Do you have to pay to park at Tredegar Park?
Our carpark is pay and display, but free for National Trust members and blue badge holders. There is no limit to the amount of time you can spend at Tredegar House, but entry to the carpark closes at 4pm.
Are the toilets open at Tredegar Park?
Toilets: Men’s, women’s and accessible toilets are available next to the car park from 10am – 5pm. Park: Tredegar House parkland is open from 9am – 5pm, including the children’s play area. You do not need to book to visit the park.

Sir Charles Morgan
Owning such a vast estate came with its difficulties too, and in the 1830s, the Morgan family became the focus of the Chartist movement, a protest for increased political rights for the working classes. The new owner of Tredegar House, Sir Charles Morgan, was the MP for Brecon and Monmouthshire at the time.
