Is Gardz oil based?

Is kilz the same as Gardz?
Kilz product is thin but I believe it has a little more workability than Gardz. And no odors isn’t as strong either.
Do I need to prime after using Gardz?
Gardz is more of a sealer, with glue like consistency. It’s clear and doesn’t do much to prime. You can try painting over it, but again it’s clear, so no help with covering stains or discoloration.
Can you fill over Zinsser Gardz?

How many coats of Gardz do I need?
It’s a great product for what it’s designed to do. Get everything as smooth & clean as you can. Spackle any imperfections. Roll on Gardz Primer – two coats of you want to be obsessive.
