If you already have solar panels and you just need a retailer that can offer a great deal on your feed-in tariff, then AGL is worth some serious consideration. At face value, the AGL Solar Savers appears competitive in QLD and VIC and may offer some decent value for customers with large solar systems.
Which AGL plan is best for solar?

AGL’s best solar plan in NSW, QLD and SA is the Solar Savers deal. AGL Solar Savers is a variable rate plan with no exit fees or lock-in contracts. Customers connected to Solar Savers will receive a higher feed-in tariff than AGL’s standard market offer plans.
How much does AGL solar command cost?
While it is free to download and use for energy and gas usage monitoring, Solar Command will be a subscription service and cost between $15 and $22.50 a month, depending on the level of technical support chosen.
Does AGL provide solar panels?
Currently, we don’t sell solar panels on their own to residential customers. However, you can purchase a solar battery bundle which includes solar panels, an inverter and a solar battery. With a gross-metered solar system, all the electricity generated is fed back into the electricity grid.

Red Energy has the best solar feed-in tariff in NSW, where eligible customers on a single rate tariff can get 18 cents per kilowatt hour (c/kWh) for feeding electricity into the grid.
