How much does NJ TRANSIT monthly pass cost?
Monthly Passes If you have a monthly rail pass valued at $59 or more, you can use it on any NJ TRANSIT light rail line or buses up to the number of zones indicated on the pass. Simply show your valid rail pass to the bus operator or light rail fare inspector.
Does NJ Transit have military discount?
The special discount offered by NJ TRANSIT is one small token of New Jersey’s appreciation of their service. Military personnel and their dependents may use the one-way reduced ticket upon presenting their valid military or military-dependent ID cards.
Can you drink beer on NJ TRANSIT train?

LIBERTYBUS stopped accepting cash payments – either on the bus or at Liberation Station – after being told to do so by the government. Instead, passengers are being asked to use contactless cards or AvanchiCards only. Non-contactless card payments, to top up AvanchiCards, can still be accepted at the station.
Where can I buy NJ Transit monthly pass?
Bus passes are available at most major terminals and at local outlets throughout New Jersey. At NJ TRANSIT ticket offices and Ticket Vending Machines, bus passes are available for purchase beginning at 5 p.m. on the 19th of the previous month through the 10th of the month for which the pass is valid.
What is off peak NJ Transit?
During off-peak hours, ridership is lower and train crew sizes are reduced to better align with this lower ridership. If at any time off-peak train capacity reaches 50% and a car is available but closed, crews are required to open the closed car and make it available to our customers.
