How EndoActivator works?
EndoActivator, a sonically driven irrigation system, has been shown to remove smear layer and reduce bacterial load (13). EndoActivator, through acoustic streaming and cavitation, produces agitation of the irrigants. This hydrodynamic activation improves penetration of irrigant into the root canal system (14).
What is an EndoActivator?
The EndoActivator® System is used in endodontic treatment by application of sonic energy. The Activator tips are used in conjunction with the Handpiece/Driver to provide the energy for tip oscillation and vibration. A cleaned root canal system facilitates 3-D obturation and long-term success.
What is sonic irrigation?
Compared with ultrasonic activation, sonic irrigation devices operate at lower frequencies. EDDY (VDW GmbH, Munich, Germany), a flexible, non-cutting polyamide tip that is coupled to an air scaler handpiece, is used with sonic activation at a frequency of 5000 Hz to 6000 Hz [9].
How do I use QMix Endo?
Place the needle tip safely in canal (at least 2 mm from apex). Express QMix® 2in1 into canal. Utilization of an EndoActivator is recommended as part of your protocol. Continuously irrigate for 60-90 seconds.
