You have up to 24 hours from the time of ticket purchase for a refund if you booked at least 2 days prior to departure. The 24-hour refund policy applies to all ticket types, but you have to cancel the trip to get a refund.* Reservations booked as part of group block do not qualify for the 24 hour refund.
What happens if you don’t show up to your flight American Airlines?
If you don’t show up for any flight on which you’re booked, all other flights in that reservation will automatically be canceled. If they manually cancel those segments, then the return will still be there for you when you try to fly home. Keep in mind, they won’t just do this because you want them to for any reason.

Can I add my frequent flyer number after booking American Airlines?
The passengers may pull up the reservation and near the bottom of the reservation right above the list of passenger(s, there will be a link present for “change passenger information” which allow the passengers to edit the details for entering the frequent flyer number to American Airlines Reservations (1-805-372-0680).
