(WTOC) – Rains from the last week or so have rivers across our area flooded. Here at Dasher’s Landing, the Ogeechee River has not only overflowed its banks. It’s covered the boat ramp and covered the parking lot in water.

Are there alligators in the Ocmulgee River?
They typically live in freshwater environments such as rivers, swamps, lagoons, and marshes. When winter approaches, they swim down Walnut Creek to join the Ocmulgee River and travel south to warmer climates. Besides alligators, Ocmulgee has numerous snakes, lizards, skinks, and turtles that call the Park home.
