Is Techron additive Worth?

Techron® is proven effective in a wide range of field tests against the competition. Some competitor products either completely lack or have very little of the key detergents found in Techron. And unlike some competitors, Chevron has test results to back up every performance claim.

What is Caltex with Techron?

Caltex with Techron contains an active cleaning ingredient that removes dirt and prevents deposits from forming on critical parts of your car’s fuel system. A clean engine will function at its most optimum to give you maximised power, better fuel economy, lower emissions, a smoother drive, and reliable performance.

Does Techron fuel additive work?

Fuel system detergent additives, such as Techron can help, however they are not a cure for a worn or faulty fuel system. If you have a worn high-pressure fuel pump, pitted or plugged injectors, dirty filters or hose, O-rings or other parts that are deteriorating, a fuel additive won’t help.

Is Techron bad for your car?

A: Good to hear your car is running better using the Techron. Fact is, you can use too much Techron and cause damage to your fuel tank lining. You should try to run your fuel tank down to around a quarter tank. After you have it down that low, you should probably take around 15 gallons of fresh fuel.

Is Techron better than seafoam?

They’re both good products. Techron can be used more regularly as a fuel system treatment. Seafoam can be used in the fuel system, crankcase, and vacuum lines. In light of reported O2 sensor and/or catalytic converter impacts, I use it less frequently, and exactly as prescribed.
