Can you change the strap on a Garmin Forerunner?
You can replace the bands with new Forerunner® bands or compatible QuickFit™ bands. Use the two screwdrivers to loosen the pins. To install Forerunner bands, align the new bands, and replace the pins using the two screwdrivers. To install QuickFit bands, replace the pins, and press the new bands into place.
Are Garmin Forerunner bands interchangeable?
Whether that’s the Garmin Fenix range, Vivoactive 4 or Venu smartwatches, or running watches like the Forerunner 245 or 945, pretty much every Garmin watch has the ability to switch out straps. That means you’re able to pick up one of Garmin’s other official band options when you want to switch up colors and looks.

The small band will fit wrist sizes 5-6.75 inches (127-172mm) The large band will fit wrist sizes 6.1-8.7 inches (155-221mm)
How do I change the QuickFit band on my Garmin?
Changing the QuickFit Bands
- Slide the latch on the QuickFit™ band, and remove the band from the watch.
- Align the new band with the watch.
- Press the band into place. NOTE: Make sure the band is secure. The latch should close over the watch pin.
- Repeat steps 1 through 3 to change the other band.
