Seeing Characters at Walt Disney World Right Now Character experiences remain distant every since Walt Disney World reopened in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, there are no up close meet and greets or autographs- these will return at a later date.

Character EXP is used by Characters to increase their level. It is primarily obtained by using Character EXP Materials. Killing enemies while exploring the open world gives a very small amount, based on enemy levels and type. Claiming Ley Line Blossoms from Bosses also yield some Character EXP.
Are Disney characters signing autographs September 2021?
The Walt Disney World Resort is committed to being intentional and gradual in their approach to health and safety protocols in an effort to provide a safe and magical visit for all Guests. As part of this phased reopening, Characters are not signing autograph books at this time.
